Duration exact to the frame, integrated loudness around -14 LUFS, and that the first keyframe is at zero. Those three catch almost everything.

I keep seeing advice about thumbnails and titles, but almost nothing about what to check on the file itself. Do you verify duration, loudness, keyframe spacing? What has actually caught a defect for you before upload rather than after?

Also check that audio and video streams have the same duration. A mismatch of a few hundred milliseconds shows up as drift at the end and nobody notices until a viewer does.
